    Consists of copies of birth and death certificates for members of the Zernik and Kaplan families, originally of Berlin-Charlottenberg, Germany. Hans, his wife Lilly Kaplan, and daughter Ursula Zernik, emigrated from Germany in the late 1930s to Santo Domingo. From there, they spent a few years in China before immigrating to the United States after the war. Includes copies of documents needed for citizenship and immigration.

    Consists of one letter, three pages, written by John I. Hill, a member of the 12th Armored Division (the "Hellcats") during World War II. In the letter, Hill describes his reaction to a recently liberated concentration camp. Though the name of the camp is not mentioned, it was almost certainly a subcamp of Dachau.

In the diary, Dora recounts her family's final days in the ghetto in Sighet (Sighetu Marmației), Romania; their deportation and arrival in Auschwitz; and her liberation.

The book consists of a collection of wartime and post-war poetry written by Franz Beaufaÿs in which he expresses his anger and disgust toward the Nazi regime, believing that the Nazis had co-opted the formerly proud German culture. Poems include "Buchenwald," "Politische Konferenz," and "Gestapo."

    Consists of a pre-World War II photograph of the Lamet family of Warsaw, Poland, and post-war photographs of Esther Lamet Grosbard and Joseph Grosbard. Also includes one Polish driver's license issued in 1938 to Joseph Grosbard.

    Consists of four photographs taken after the liberation of the Nordhausen labor camp. They depict bodies of victims, the remains of a fire used to burn victims, and a cemetery erected after their burial. The photographs are from the collection of James A. Melka, a Private First Class in the United States Army during World War II.
