    The papers consist of one photograph of the van der Veer family who hid Rachel Slagter between 1943 and 1945 and one evacuation card issued by the Dutch Red Cross to "D.M.F. Willemsen," the false name used by Rachel at the time.

    The Lenneberg and Brünell families papers consists of a diary, photographs, and documents relating to Ursula Lenneberg and Siegmund Brünell’s families' pre-war life in Germany and their wartime and post-war experiences in various concentration camps and DP camps. The diary was written by Ursula while in the Deggendorf DP camp. In the diary she describes her experiences interned in several camps including Theresienstadt, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Kudowa, and Merzdorf.   13. Klein family photographs

    Consists of 20 copyprints of the Klein family, originally of Berlin, Germany. Pre-war photographs include wedding photographs of Josef and Lotte Klein and of extended family members. Post-war photographs include photographs of Rosel, Ruth, and Eva Klein in various childrens' homes as well as of their emigration to Canada in 1948. The Klein family emigrated to Belgium in 1939, and the girls spent the war in various convents and childrens' homes. Lotte Klein died of natural causes in 1940, and Josef Klein perished in the Holocaust in 1942.

    Collection contains 14 pre-war portraits of various families from the town of Zelów, near Łódź, Poland; includes portraits of the Fyle, Gliks, Szmulewicz, Kuperwasser, Granat, Zysman, Rosenblum, Bresler, and Pieniks families.

    The Ester Ajzen Lewin family photograph collection consists of pre-war and post-war photographs of the Ester Ajzen and the Ajzen family of Chełm, Poland. The collection also includes photographs of the the Lewin family of Derazhnya, Ukraine; Ester Ajzen Lewin’s husband, Abram Lewin and his brother Misha Lewin. Both served as Soviet soldiers.

  18. Notes of U.S. occupation days in Germany

    The diary describes the experiences of Chester E. Beaman in Germany from 1946 to 1947 when he was Chief of Job Classification and Wage Administration for the U.S. Army. Included are descriptions of a visit to the former Dachau concentration camp as well as viewing part of the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials.
