    Consists of three photographs: one wedding photograph of Raya Magid Markon, dated 1937 in Paris, France; one wedding photograph of Raya Magid and Alexander Markon; and one photograph of a group of French army soldiers, including Alexander Markon.

  3. Dr. Naim N. Khuri autograph album

    Contains an autograph album bound in a wooden cover that was handmade in Dachau, Germany, after World War II, and consists of eight handwritten pages. It was signed by the staff of the Post Hospital in Dachau and given to Dr. Naim N. Khuri (donor's father), a lieutenant in the U.S. Army who served in Europe during World War II and spent three years after the war administering a hospital in Dachau.

  4. Ruth and Kurt Elias papers

    The Ruth and Kurt Elias papers include correspondence from Kurt’s father asking relatives to help him immigrate to the United States and providing his address at the Mauthausen concentration camp; identification papers for Ruth, her sister, and Kurt’s father; and photographs depicting Ruth and Kurt Elias and their families before the war and after liberation in Czechoslovakia.

  5. Meier de Leeuw collection

    Consists of documents, correspondence, and photographs related to the Holocaust experiences of the de Leeuw and Frankenhuis families of the Netherlands. Includes photographs of the familes, correspondence from the Westerbork deportation camp, and post-war documents from the Dutch Red Cross.

  6. Klinger family collection

    The collection consists of two German stateless passports ("Fremdenpass") issued to Leon and Gisele Klinger [parents of Walter Klinger] in December 1939 in Vienna, Austria. Included in the passports are immigration visas issued by the American Consul in "Vienna, Germany."

  7. Ruth Margolinsky letter

    The letter and accompanying envelope are addressed to Mrs. Sylvia Rockoff [donor's mother] in Brooklyn, N.Y., from Ruth Margolinsky in Long Island, N.Y. The letter concerns money that was collected by the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society of America (HIAS) to assist Hans-Erwin Teller with his escape from Czechoslovakia during World War II.

  8. Alexander Bachnár papers

    The Alexander Bachnár papers consist of correspondence and biographical, photographic, and printed materials documenting Bachnár’s forced work on Sixth Labor Battalion (VI Prapor) in Slovakia during World War II, his confinement to the Nováky labor camp for Jews, his participation in armed resistance with partisans, awards he received for his wartime service, and his work as a journalist after the war.     A protest and march organized by the International Peace Campaign demanding that Britain take action against Germany if they seize the Sudetenland. The clips are out of chronological order. The first scene shows a large crowd in Trafalgar square. A banner reads: "Stand by Czechoslovakia! No plebiscite!" The camera pans across the huge crowd.   12. Von Tohathy affidavit

    Contains an affidavit dated Sep. 8, 1943, written by Ludwig Victor von Tohathy. The affidavit indicates that Mr. von Tohathy was sent to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp in October 1941 by the Gestapo.

  13. Lee N. Sandridge photographs

    Consists of eight photographs from the collection of Lee N. Sandridge, who was a W.A.C. telephone radio operator for General Eisenhower in 1945; includes photographs taken upon the liberation of the Nordhausen concentration camp and liberation photographs of the Russian occupied areas of Berlin.

    Consists of two photographs: one of a family photograph taken at the golden anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Mór Krausz, the donor's maternal grandparents, on 8 May 1933, in Sárbogárd, Fejér County, Hungary; another of a group of people, including Mrs. Dezsö Dóczi (nee. Erzsébet Singer), the mother of the donor's late husband, taken between Apr.-Jul. 1944, in Pécs, Baranya County, Hungary. In this photograph, some people are wearing Jewish stars. Mrs. Dezsö Dóczi perished in Auschwitz.

Included are four letters written by Betty Bouten-Bergen, who hid David and his sister in Amsterdam; family photographs; copies of documents related to Albert’s release from Theresienstadt; and a Dutch translation of a diary written by Sergei Kaplan, husband of Olga Kaplan, who adopted Albert while he was in Theresienstadt.
