  1. Cecile Rojer Jeruchim photograph collection

    The collection consists of photographs depicting Cecile Rojer Jeruchim's experiences as a hidden child in Belgium during the Holocaust. Included are depictions of Cecile, her siblings Anny and Charles, and parents Abraham and Geshewa before World War II, the children's home of "Hirondelles," a meeting with Sister Clotilde in 1946, and post-war trips to London, England, and Rochefort, France.

  2. Selected records from the war trial cases of the Nazi collaborators tried in the Kazakh SSR

    Contains material from trials conducted in the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR) from 1943 to 1950. The material includes documents from pretrial investigations by the "SMERSH" ("Death to Spies"-Soviet military counter-intelligence units)) and Kazakh NKVD (MGB and KGB), as well as protocols of interrogations, indictments, verdicts and sentences. For each trial, the principal defendant, the geographic area where the defendant committed his/her crimes, the rank/occupation, and the year of trial are listed.

    Consists of one memoir, written by Eva Biro Slott, describing her experiences in the ghetto and in hiding in Budapest, Hungary, during the Holocaust. Includes letters written to Eva by Jozsef, Sari, and Judit Biro, family members who did not survive the war, describing life in the Mindszent ghetto and preparations for their deportation.   6. Arie Sagi photograph collection

    The collection consists of photographs depicting Rachel Roza Weksler, originally of Švenčionys, Lithuania, her husband Mordechai Sergowicz, and Rachel’s brother Hirsz Zvi Weksler, all of whom survived the Holocaust in Švenčionys and the Soviet Union.

  8. Shraga Weiner testimony

    Contains testimony, written by Mr. Shraga Weiner, describing incidents from his wartime experiences in the Kovno, Lithuania, ghetto and in the Dachau and Landsberg, Germany, concentration camps. The four "episodes" are entitled, "Diary of the Ninth Fort," "The 'Mediator'," "The Betrayal of M. Levin--A Mysterious Story," and "Gleams of Hope."

  11. Pia-Kristina Garde collection

    Consists of forms, correspondence, manuscripts, and photographs collected by Pia-Kristina Garde [donor] from Holocaust survivors who had been evacuated to Sweden after liberation. Inspired by the 1945 book "De dödsdömda vittna" ("Those Who Were Sentenced to Death Witness), which was based on questionnaires given to the survivors, the donor searched for these survivors to find out what happened to them later in life.   13. "The Cost of Freedom; Invoice Number XIIA097689; Paid in Full"

    Consists of the one manuscript, entitled "The Cost of Freedom; Invoice Number XIIA097689; Paid in Full: An Account of Some World War II Training, Combat, and Prisoner of War Experiences," by Arthur Eck, 2000. He describes his experiences as a machine gunner in the United States Army during World War II and his capture and imprisonment in the Stalag XIIA POW (Prisoner of War) labor camp.

  14. Szczukowski family photographs

    Consists of eight pre-war photographs of the family of Mendel and Hynda Szczukowski, originally of Łódź, Poland. Of their seven children in Poland (an eighth, Esther, emigrated to Poland in 1916), five perished during the Holocaust, as did Mendel. Hynda passed away in 1932. Also includes post-war photographs of Mojzesz Szczukowski in a displaced persons camp in Hofgeisman, Germany, participating in the sport of boxing.

    Consists of a CD-ROM of scanned pages from the "Jidiszer D.P. Lager in Hof" book. Book contains photographs with captions of Jews who worked in administrative positions within the camp.

  16. "Fröhlich-Schipper family history"

    Consists of memoir, 55 pages, by Agnes Schipper regarding her mother, Sabine Fröhlich Schipper, who survived the Holocaust as a hidden child in the Netherlands. Although her older brother Andreas perished, she and her parents survived by moving constantly with the help of family friends. Sabine eventually married one of the resistance fighters who helped her, Cornelis (Cor) Schipper.

    The papers consist of pre-war, wartime, and post war photographs, documents, and identity cards illustrating the life of Jan Szelubski before the Holocaust in Lida, Lithuania, (now Belarus). During World War II, Szelubski was a company commander of the Armia Ludowa during the Warsaw uprising and received the "Virtuti Militari" medal for his bravery. After the war, he joined the diplomatic service.
