  1. Lola Laks collection

    Consists of two envelopes sent from Ulanow, Poland, to the United States; eighteen photographs taken by the donor in the Bindermichl displaced persons camp, 1946; two letters written in 1941, from Warsaw to the donor; one postcard, dated 28 February 1941, from Lola Ulrych in the Warsaw ghetto to J. Fishbein, for Lola Fishbein, in New York; and one postcard written by Lola Langham in Dzierzoniow, Poland, to Lola Fishbein in New York, January 1948.

  2. Spanish diplomatic and consular correspondence and related records

    The collection contains diverse documents from 1939 to 1963, concerning the situation for Jews in Europe in general, Spanish Jews, and individual cases of Jews seeking asylum in Spain. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence related to securing transit visas to Spain for Jews attempting to escape Nazi persecution.

  3. Rose Abrams papers

    The collection documents the Holocaust-era experiences of Roza Margolis (later Rose Abrams) and her sister Estera Margolis (later Edith Adlam), both of whom grew up in Łódź, Poland. Included are two postcards written by Roza and Estera to relatives in the United States, 1944-1945; a postcard received by the same relatives by Roza’s uncle, Zundel Bagielman, writing from the Łódź ghetto, 1940; and a certificate issued to Roza upon her release from Camp de Gurs, France in April 1943.

Also included are records of Lithuanian citizens seeking to enlist in the Lithuanian division of the Red Army.
