Files contain lists of inhabitants, employees, and other local materials.

    "The United States Army's War Crimes Trials Program in Post-World War II Germany and Austria" is an unpublished manuscript written by Scott McKay Wallace as an independent study project in 1976-1977. The manuscript describes the administrative and legal aspects of the American war crimes trials, which took place almost exclusively at the former Dachau concentration camp, as well as a history of the trials themselves. The manuscript also includes appendices with photographs and documents regarding the executions of the convicted war criminals.

  9. Dr. Hans-Werner Wollenberg memoir, Berlin

    Consists of a typed memoir, 130 pages, marked "Property of Dr. Wollenberg, Berlin," dated 1947. The memoir describes the experiences of Dr. Hans-Werner Wollenberg, a Jewish physician who worked as a doctor while imprisoned in several concentration camps, including Drancy, Johannsdorf, Brande, Blechhammer-Ehrenforst, Faulbrück, and Langenbielau. The memoir was later published as .".und der Alptraum wurde zum Alltag" in 1992.

  11. Emmy Blau Gold collection

    Consists of a history of the Gold family, consisting of Jenö and Emmy Gold and their two daughters, Leonie and Vera, originally of Hamburg, Germany. In 1937, Jenö and Emmy divorced, and Jenö emigrated to the United States. His daughters also emigrated after the war broke out--Leonie(Lonny) and her husband Georgy emigrated through Belgium, and later Vera through Lisbon. As Emmy was unable to obtain a German reentry visa after a visit to Belgium in 1938, she was forced to go to Hungary, as she was of Hungarian descent.   12. Radzyń Podlaski memorial album

    Consists of one album containing photographs of a memorial service held in Tel Aviv on January 10, 1970, to honor the victims of the Holocaust from Radzyń Podlaski, Poland.

  13. George Lubinski collection

    Collection consists of documents and postcards concerning Charlotte Wertheimer, the donor's grandmother; two postcards written from Drancy transit camp to her children in Paris, just before her transport to Auschwitz, dated 1942. Includes postwar documents confirming that "Charlotte Friedl Wertheirmer" of "Troppau, Silesia" was a resident of Paris and was interned in Drancy from October 5-November 10, 1942, and that she died in Auschwitz the 16th of November 1942.

  14. Laurie Bernstein photographs

    Consists of a photograph of two children, Genia and Akiva Bernstein, siblings of the donor's father, who later perished during the Holocaust, and one photograph of a train depot. The photographs were taken in Skalat, Ukraine.

  15. Berta Rosenhein Hertz photographs

    Consists of pre-war photographs of Berta Rosenhein Hertz, originally of Leipzig, Germany. Includes photographs taken in 1929 of Berta with her parents and on the first day of school.

  16. Diary of Walter Tausk

    Contains four volumes of the diary of Walter Tausk. Walter Tausk describes own experiences in Nazi Germany related to antisemitism and polices against Jews. The diary contains also newspaper clippings, photographs of leading Nazis, letters to Walter Tausk, fascists leaflets, business cards of companies Tausk worked for and meal vouchers for Jews.

  17. Pruzhana photographs

    The collection consists of pre-war photographs of the Levitas family of Pruzhana, Poland (Pruzhany, Belarus). The family perished during the Holocaust.

  18. Selected records of governor of Radom district Gubernator dystryktu Radomskiego = Der gouverneur des distrikts Radom (Sygn. 209)

    The collection contains records relating to local economy, especially the merger of village lands (about 60% of the records), and to office's internal organization and its staff (about 40% of the records). There are some records relating to extermination activity, deportations, camps and the like. Also includes 3,016 personal files of primary school teachers from the Radom district area, but no Jews are represented in these files.

  19. Michael Salwen photographs

    Consists of more than 70 post-war photographs from the collection of Michael Salwen (Moniek Szmulewicz), originally of Sulejów, Poland. The photographs depict Michael and fellow survivors in Buchenwald and in a displaced persons camp in Switzerland, where he and other young survivors ("Buchenwald boys") were sent to recover after liberation. Also includes Michael's post-war identity card identifying him as a civilian internee of Buchenwald, and a newspaper article from the June 6, 1947 issue of the Göteborgs-Posten including a photograph of Michael Salwen.
