    Contains records of Gestapo in Sieradz, an agency of Gestapo in Łódź Records relate to investigations of Polish resistance movement, actions against anti-German steps, participation in displacements and expropriation, interventions in the prohibited contacts between the German and Polish people (so-called "blood relations" between Germans and Poles), interference in the German national list. The Geheime Staatspolizei performed these tasks in the co-operation with the Kriminalpolizei (Kripo) and Schutzpolizei (Schupo) as well as security services.

    Corroded Soviet Army Ssh40 combat helmet recovered in a Latvian swamp many years after World War II. Production of the Ssh40 model helmet began in 1940 and continued until 1960. It was issued to Soviet soldiers on all fronts during World War II. The Ssh40 was designed to replace the Ssh39, which had a liner that made it difficult for the wearer to place the helmet over a winter hat or garrison cap.     The Walter Furst correspondence consists of correspondence between Walter Furst at Camp Ritchie, Maryland and his brother Harry, his parents Berthalo and Louise Furst, T.E. Glaser, Herbert Meyer, Curt Sloan, Fred Furst, R.H. Stern, Werner Oppenheim, and various other friends from across the United States. The letters focus mainly on military life and other personal matters. The majority of letters are in English, but some from Walter's father are in German.
