  1. Neil Hora papers

    This collection includes photographs of Doris and Nicole Hora as well as the donor's father, Morris Hora. Doris and Nicole were related to Morris's family and survived the Holocaust in France. Additional photographs include images of Odette and Suzanne Leon, also survivors in France; an image of Morris in immediate post-war in France; a postcard to donor's mother; and a hand-written note on a photo studio's card.

Magnusson inside front cover; Floor plan of the International Military Tribunal; Two (2) passes to the Visitors’ Gallery at the International Military Tribunal; for sessions 341 and 342; pass for 341 signed on verso by Robert E. Magnusson. Materials acquired by 2nd Lt Robert Eugene Magnusson (donor’s father), who served as a member of the OSS in Europe during WWII. He attended the IMT in Nuremberg on July 19, 1946.

  4. Herman Williams photograph collection

    Contains 22 post-war/liberation photographs taken in Germany and possibly Austria and brought back to the United States by American serviceman Herman Williams. Includes four printed postcards produced by the 13th Armored Division, U.S. Army, showing post-combat scenes in Belgium and Germany, circa 1944-1945, and post-liberation scenes from unidentified concentration camp, showing corpses and crematoria.

  5. Records of the commune Boguszyce of the county Rawski Akta gminy Boguszyce powiatu Rawskiego (Sygn.1101)

    This collection contains the registration book (Tom V) of the commune Boguszyce of the county Rawa Mazowiecka. Included is registration of Jewish and Polish inhabitants from the villages: Kaliszki, Zarzecze, Łochów, Małgorzatów, and Podkonice Duże. Two Jewish families are registered in this book: Luftman's family, and Majercholc's family.

  6. Court of the First Instance in Koziegłowy Sąd Grodzki w Koziegłowach (Sygn.587)

    This collection contains five legal cases in which one of the parties was Jewish. Cases relate to restoration of property, acknowledging the right to inheritance, and finding a person deceased.

    Personal archives of Shay'keh Weiner (1912-1979) contains interviews, letters from Poland and Paris, biographical documents and personal papers, minutes of meetings of the World Headquarters of Hashomer Hatzair (1957-1969), correspondence with branches and representatives of the Hashomer Hatzair abroad.

  8. William Buckhantz papers

    The William Buckhantz collection is an excellent resource for those studying the experiences of UNRRA (United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration) personnel working in displaced persons camps. The collection includes extensive photographs depicting life in the Deggendorf and Ellwangen displaced persons camp. It also includes blank UNRRA forms, including blank AEF Displaced Persons forms and identity cards.   9. Paper Wholesale Company in Częstochowa Ltd. Hurtownia Papieru w Częstochowie Spółka z.o.o. (Sygn.152)

    This collection contains records of the Paper Wholesale Company in Czestochowa including financial books of departments, related to: bookkeeping, sales and employment. The founders of the company were: Leopold Kohn, Józef Markusfeld, Juliusz Schleicher, Gustaw Heyman, Alfred Kohn, Antoni Markusfeld and Stanisław Markusfeld. Initial capital amounted to 35,000 Polish zlotys divided into 100 shares of 350 zlotys each. There were many Jews among the staff and customers of this company who were later victims of the Holocaust.

    Consists of a set of stereoscopic prints entitled "Fliegen und Siegen" produced by the Raumbild-Verlag Otto Schönstein K.G., which depict scenes, planes, and military officials related to the Luftwaffe. The set includes images 2-100.

  11. Records of the commune Gortatowice County Rawski Akta gminy Gortatowice powiatu Rawskiego (Sygn.1102)

    General correspondence of the commune Gortatowice, includes registration of teachers, intelligentsia, firemen, Jewish inhabitants, orders of relocation of Jewish families to Nowe Miasto, and the order to Polish inhabitants prohibiting them from helping Jewish people, with the threat of punishment by death for doing so. Also includes statistics about local properties, farms, agricultural property and household goods.

  12. Zina Alpern postcard

    Consists of one postcard, dated June 10, 1942, written by Zelda (“Zina”) Alpern in Salles-Curan, Aveyron, France, to Gertrude Wolf of Rochester, NY. On the postcard, which is torn and has a missing corner, Zina asks for news and expresses her hope that Gertrude will be able to send papers to assist with her emigration.

  14. Schmil Prutzki telegrams

    Collection of telegrams sent from Schmil Prutzki (donor's second cousin) in Bucharest to Harry and Mina Goodman (donor's grandparents) in Washington, DC. In the telegrams, Schmil (whose name is also spelled as Smil Pritzki, Pritzki or Prutchi) writes about the fate of their family members, asks for financial assistance, and acknowledges money received.

    Contains correspondence, registration books and names lists from the commune of Marianów: inclues a list of inhabitants receiving government grants, a list of patients with typhoid, correspondence concerning the treatment of Jewish patients and Jewish hospitals, and registration books of population of the commune Marianów.

    The Jacobson and David families papers consist of correspondence, photographs, and journals of poetry documenting the Jacobson and David families of Liepāja, Latvia; Paula Jacobson Sandler’s youth in Liepāja; Meyer and Nanny David’s exile to Siberia; and Meyer David’s last years in Minsk, Tallinn, and Nemenčinė.     Two postcards sent from Lotte and Bernhard Weinberg of Vienna, Austria in May and November 1938 to their cousins Max, Paul and Sophia Steinberg in Chicago, Il. Among other topics, Lotte and Bernard sought help in obtaining a visa for their daughter Regina.

    Consists of one enlarged portrait of Hermann Göring, likely taken in the early 1930s. In the photograph, Göring is wearing medals from World War I.

  19. Territorial collection on France, Holocaust period (RG-116, France II)

    The collection relates to the situation of the Jews in France during German occupation. The collection pertains number of subjects including: anti-Jewish legislation enacted by the Vichy regime, general situation of the Jews in France, deportations, situation in the internment and concentration camps, religious, cultural and everyday life in the camps, the resistance movement, protests against anti-Jewish persecution, clandestine press, legal press, identification cards including the production of false identification documents as part of the resistance movement.

Includes images taken at the Dachau concentration camp and at Berchtesgaden (including both original and Signal Corps photographs), photographs collected from German soldiers, and postcards.
