Source of acquisition is the Yivo Institute for Jewish Research (YIVO), RG-116, France II. Records are of mixed provenance and consist of miscellaneous and fragmentary documents donated by individuals and organizations. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from YIVO via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Dec. 2014.

Dec. 1941-Sep.1942 (Folder 28.1- 28.22). Correspondence is organized alphabetically; 4. Cultural, Religious and Everyday Life in the Camps (Folder 29.1-Folder 31); 5. Deportations and Evacuations of Jews in Various Localities (Folder 32-37); Series 6: Protests, Resistance Activities, Clandestine Press (Folder 39.1-60); 7: Legal Press (Folder 61-66); 8: Organizations (Folder 67-76); 9: Identification Cards and other Personal Documents (Folder 77.1-81); 10: German Military Activities in France Folder 82- 84); 11. Miscellaneous (Folder 85). The various series may have overlapping subject matter.
