  1. Hand-made wooden souvenir letter opener

    Painted wood souvenir letter opener given to Lavan Robinson. One side is engraved, "Souvenir from your boys" and the other is engraved, "Post Theatre Dachau 1946. The handle of the letter opener is a four-leaf clover.

  4. Fonds Abadi (CMXCIV)

    Archives of Moussa and Odette Abadi, two unknown Jews, who created the Réseau Marcel (Marcel network) in Nice, France to save children during World War II. They saved 527 children from deportation with the cooperation of the local authorities, the Catholic Church (Monsignor Rémond), and many humanitarian organizations. The Réseau Marcel was one of the most successful Jewish rescue networks in Vichy France. Odette Rosenstock was a French doctor, she survived Auschwitz-Birkenau and Bergen-Belsen, and Moussa Abadi, Syrian-born was a co-conspirator, whom she married after the war.

    The Josef Baur papers consists of correspondence, identification documents, photographs, and two photo albums relating to Josef Baur (b. 1907) and his family. The papers relate to Josef Baur’s military experiences as a member of the Police Battalion 131 and the 14th SS Police Regiment during World War II. The majority of the correspondence is between Josef Baur and his wife, Agnes Baur (b. 1910) and written from 1940 and 1943. Several letters sent by Josef included photographs.     Collection of documents, correspondence, photographs, papers, negatives, newspapers and clippings, and other assorted materials which primarily document the experiences of Siegfried, Elsa (nee Schonfeld) and Liselotte Mandelbrot of Stuttgart and their friends and family, and the Mandelbrot's attempts to flee Nazi Germany.
