    One of the National Yugoslav War Crimes Commissions was for territory of Serbia (The others were for Croatia, Bosnia and Erzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia and Macedonia). The fund consists primarily of statements of survivors and their relatives, decisions for War Criminals, partly by original documents or copies of documents. The most important materials were delivered between 1945 and 1947 to the State Commission for the Investigation of the Crimes of Occupiers and their Supporters.

In Kooperation mit dem Karl von Vogelsang-Institut wurden die Namen und verfolgungsrelevanten Daten von Österreichern erfasst, die im Zeitraum vom 11.3.1938–8.5.1945 aus politischen Gründen im NS-Regime umkamen bzw. ermordet wurden.     Die Datenbank der Digitalisate ist eine Sammlung von Dokumenten, die die Grundlage für die Datenbank der Namentlichen Erfassung der österreichischen Holocaustopfer bildet. Ausgangspunkt der Arbeiten waren die Deportationslisten der Großtransporte aus Wien und die Deportationskartei der Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde. Mittlerweile wurden vom Projektteam der Namentlichen Erfassung ca. 450.000 Datensätze zu den rund 65.000 jüdischen Österreichern gesammelt, die zwischen 1938 und 1945 in Österreich durch Mord oder Selbstmord ums Leben kamen, aus Österreich deportiert wurden oder als Flüchtlinge ...

  15. Spanienkämpfer-Sammlung

    Die Sammlung umfasst Unterlagen (Kopien amtlicher Dokumente, Fotos, Briefe, Zeitungsartikel, autobiographische Texte) über die Beteiligung von Österreichern am Spanischen Bürgerkrieg. Waren zu Beginn der Tätigkeit Dokumente von nur rund 50 ehemaligen Spanienkämpfern in den allgemeinen Beständen des DÖW vorhanden, umfasst die Spanien-Dokumentation nun Quellenmaterial über mehr als 1.000 Österreicher im Spanischen Bürgerkrieg. Rund 400 Personen sind nur über Hinweise erfasst. Die Sammlung wird durch die Spezialbibliothek "Spanischer Bürgerkrieg" ergänzt.
