    Contains photocopied documents and news clippings about the adoption, in 1949, of Peter Schreiner of Germany, by the Hadley family of Kenmore, NY.

    Reproductions of two letters. One was written in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp in November 1940 by someone named Bronek to his parents asking them to intervene to ensure a debt is settled. The second was addressed to someone's brother from Siberia in May 1941.

    Three photocopied items, one of letter to H.J. Hahn of Hildesheim, from director of the Dora-Mittelbau memorial site in 1994, explaining inability to do research because of broken down microfilm readers, but supplying a partial list of passengers on transport from Auschwitz to Dora. Also clippings (copied) from German newspaper with handwritten annotation about Lili Meier recognizing herself in Auschwitz photo album (now at Yad Vashem).

In the memoir, she describes her deportation to Theresienstadt in 1941 and from there, to Raasiku, Estonia, in 1942, where her mother was immediately shot and Doris was assigned forced labor doing farm work. In January 1943, she was sent to Tallin for forced labor at the Reval shipyard, where she worked until the summer of 1944, when she was taken by boat to Stutthof and after a few months, to Hamburg.   17. Theresienstadt ghetto-labor camp scrip, 50 kronen note

    Scrip, valued at 50 kronen, issued in the Theresienstadt (Terezin) ghetto-labor camp in 1943. All currency was confiscated from deportees upon entry and replaced with scrip and ration coupons that could be exchanged only in the camp. The Theresienstadt camp existed for 3.5 years, from November 24, 1941 to May 9, 1945. It was located in a region of Czechoslovakia occupied by Germany, renamed the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and made part of the Greater German Reich.

Also included is a photocopy of a report given by Rolf Pakuscher (Ralph Parker) for a court case in Hamburg in 1946, describing conditions at Auschwitz.
