    The Mark Stern papers consist of letters and postcards from Jacob, Erna, Tosia, and Manek Stern [donor's father, mother, sister, and donor] in Poland and Italy to Leon Stern [donor's brother] in Palestine. Topics range from everyday life (school, work, family business, health, and weather) to life after liberation, conditions in an United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) camp, finding work, disappointment, attempts to immigrate to the United States, happiness, and starting a new life.

    The collection consists of 22 photographs depicting the liberation of Landsberg concentration camp and one photograph album.

    Consists of newspaper articles about Hans Walter's youth in Berlin, Germany, his experiences in Auschwitz, Sachsenhausen, and Ebensee, photocopies of his friend Peter Edel's drawings, and a photocopy of a forged twenty-pound note created as part of Operation Bernhard, a forgery effort conducted in Sachsenhausen.

  12. Drancy: Notes de Service et Notes du Commandant du Camp

    The collection consists of notes de service from the Jewish camp commandants covering a period from the assumption of direct administrative control of the camp by the Germans in early July 1943 to the winding down of camp operations in August 1944.

  18. Rosenberg family papers

    The collection documents the post-war experiences of the Rosenberg family in the Feldafing displaced persons camp. Included are photographs depicting the lives of Mania and Jacob Rosenberg and their children Ada and Abraham in the camp; Jacob’s cousin Harry Silverman at the Lemberg displaced persons camp; childrens’ religious classes; and a wedding. Other material includes Mania Rosenberg's identification card from Feldafing, a newspaper article written by Jacob Rosenberg and published in Feldafing, and a Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) greeting card for 1947.
