    Shirt made from white cotton fabric with blue and white vertical stripe and 5 white buttons, short-sleeved. The shirt was given to and worn by Tonia Rotkopf in Landsberg Displaced Persons Camp, Germany.

  6. Mihaly Klein letters

    Contains two letters written in 1946 and 1947 by Mihaly Klein, the only member of the Klein family of Kaszony, Hungary (Kosyno, in present-day Ukraine), who survived the deportation in 1944. The addressee of the letters was Mihaly's cousin, Ilon Klein, sister of Herman Klein.

    The collection includes 27 diaries written from 1934-1949 by Imre Patai, a Jewish Hungarian physicist, inventor, and factory owner. In his diaries Imre writes about the daily events of his life in Hungary, events of the war, the siege of Budapest, experiences in an international ghetto, Jewish homes under Swedish protection, and the struggles of living in a country occupied by the Red Army. The collection also includes albums of family photographs, mainly from the 1920s and 1930s, depicting the travels of Imre and his wife, Ági Jámbor, and Imre’s work in his factory producing electric instr...

    Consists of thirteen black and white photographs taken by Dr. Morton S. Webber, a surgeon in the 32nd Evacuation Hospital, 106th Portable Surgical Hospital, during his tour of duty in the liberated Mauthausen concentration camp, May 1945. The photographs primarily depict survivors and camp architecture.
