    One broadside, titled "One Million Dollar Campaign," related to the fundraising efforts for the Yeshiva "Reshith Chochma Shearith Hapletah," under the leadership of Rabbi Solomon Leib Halberstam (the Klausenburger Rabbi), with the purpose of establishing a Torah institute for Jewish refugees from Europe, in Brooklyn, New York, 1947. In addition to a new year's greeting, the broadside contains a letter in English and Yiddish encouraging the reader to donate to this project, with reproductions of various newspaper articles about it on the verso of the broadside.

    Consists of a soldier's passbook and two documents certifying employment and good conduct, which were issued to Mr. Andrey Freund, a member of the British Forces, Jewish Brigade. The passbook notes his World War II inoculations, training, and other pieces of information, though there are few details about his presence in military theatres. Also includes two documents, both dated May 1948, attesting to his good conduct and work ethic.

  15. Herman Kutun collection

    Consists of loose photographs and photograph album pages from the collection of Herman Kutun, a member of the Counter-Intelligence Corps and Army Air Corps. The photographs depict Kutun, his fellow soldiers, displaced persons, and local people in Oberammergau, Kitzingen, and Bad Kissingen. Many of the photographs were taken at a displaced persons camp in Garmisch.

    Envelope, first-day issue of envelope and stamps commemorating the "Four Freedoms." "Freedom of Speech and Religion, Freedom from Want and Fear" hand-cancelled on February 12, 1943. Envelope bears silk-screened imagery and four stamps in upper right corner bearing repeated statement "Freedom of Speech and Religion…" as well as postage-sized photograph of the Statue of Liberty and world flags and statement "The United Nations Fight For Freedom," addressed to Jack Middleton in Hubbard, Ohio.
