    Collection of documents, photographs, Nazi-propaganda journal (newspaper/magazine/leaflet); correspondence between Hans and his son Kurt Seibold dating early 1940s, while Kurt is deployed with the German military under Nazi regime and Hans, also a soldier and WWI veteran, is home in Nuremberg, Germany. Letters from Hans discuss the military events occurring such as Operation Barbarossa, his vague references to current military work, and his affiliation and meetings with Nazi party members. Newspapers, magazines and leaflets included were printed under Nazi-occupied Germany.

  4. Painting attributed to Edmond Goergen

    Consists of a 14.5 x 18 inch painting attributed to Edmond Goergen (1914-2000). Goergen, a native of Luxembourg, was arrested and later interned at Mauthausen and Sachsenhausen concentration camps for resistance activities. An artist prior to his internment Goergen created small sketches in camp, and later resumed his career in the postwar era. He is known for a broad range of artworks including those documenting his experiences and scenes he witnessed.     Collection of documents, correspondence, and a family book [Stambuch] illustrating Max and Sophie Rosenstein and their children Ernst, Hans, and Gerhard who immigrated to the Netherlands from Bensheim, Germany. Included in the collection are documents surrounding Ernst, who fled to Palestine in the 1930s and then was killed in Action while a soldier for the British.     Consists of period correspondence and later translations pertaining to the experiences of Hildegard Simon Lustig, a survivor of the Holocaust born in Vienna, Austria who was deported from Nagykanizsa, Hungary in 1944, and her extended family. Letters in the collection were authored by and addressed to Herlinger and Lustig family members of Vienna, Austria, Prague Czechoslovakia, and Nagykanizsa, Hungary.

    The collection is comprised of affidavits, a passenger list of voyagers on the RMS Queen Elizabeth aboard which Hannah Zimmerman and her parents arrived to the United States, and a luggage tag. It also includes photographs of Hannah Zimmerman as a young child. With the exception of one wartime photograph showing Hannah circa 1 ½ - 2 years of age, the photographs of Hannah were taken while she and her parents lived in Bratislava after the war, and later as displaced persons in Munich prior to their immigration to the United States in 1952.

    Passport and photographs documenting the experiences of Yehudit (Judith) Hershkovitz [donor's mother] and her family, including their prewar experiences, detention in Nyíregyháza ghetto, survival of Auschwitz-Birkenau, and immigration to Israel in 1948 with her spouse Moshe Hershkovitz [1927-2005]. Moshe survived Birkenau and Buchenwald. After the war he returned to his hometown in Transylvania, then moved to Budapest before his immigration to Israel.

    The Bernard S. Barr photographs include two photographs of Barr during World War II; photographic negatives of the liberation of Dachau, including images of Barr at the camp, along with corresponding prints; and stereoscopic photographs from the 1937 “Reichsparteitag der Arbeit” Nazi propaganda series. The propaganda photographs are numbered 38, 55- 56, 58-61, 64-72, 74, 77, 96, 98-100.
