  1. Henry Lasker papers

    Includes various materials concerning Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe before the Holocaust, the suffering of Jews through history, and atrocities toward Jews in the Soviet Union and Poland. Also included is the November 1928 report of the Constituent Convention of the Federation of American Jews of Lithuanian Descent. The report discusses the persecution of Jews in Lithuania.   2. Isabella Leitner collection

    Consists of various materials concerning Isabella Katz Leitner and her family. The documents relate specifically to the emigration of the Katz family members to the United States and the search for other family members who were left behind in Germany. Also included is an audiotape containing a speech by Hajo Kolshorn, a former junior officer of the Nazi German navy. The speech is one in a series from the "History as Recollection" program at Marietta College. The speech discusses antisemitism.

  3. William and Mies Oudegeest interview

    The William and Mies Oudegeest interview consists of audiotapes and transcripts of an interview with William and Mies Oudegeest relating their participation in underground resistance during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands and their hiding of Dutch Jews. The collection also includes a photocopy of a letter from a Dutch couple named Menleman describing the care required for their daughter.

  4. Richard Straus papers relating to restitution

    Contains correspondence concerning Richard Straus' assistance to relatives in their attempts to receive restitution from the German government for property lost before their emigration to the United States. Also includes term papers written by Straus while enrolled at Georgetown University and several income tax forms.

  5. Records relating to displaced persons in Ebensee

    Contains photocopies of name lists of displaced persons, grouped by nationality, remaining in Ebensee concentration camp after liberation. Lists of Polish displaced persons make up the bulk of the collection. Also included are records relating to the Polish Committee in Ebensee and a map of Austria showing Mauthausen and the Mauthausen sub-camp network.

  7. Refugees arrive at Ellis Island

    Refugees arriving at Ellis Island on the "Marine Flasher" ship. Crowd waving. A scuffle breaks out among refugees, one woman is visibly upset and yelling toward the camera.     The papers consist of six photographs from the liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp and of Hitler's Eagle's Nest.
