Acquisition
Alan G. Straus, Richard Straus' son, obtained the papers after his father's death in 1986. He donated the collection to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in October 1989.
Scope and Content
Contains correspondence concerning Richard Straus' assistance to relatives in their attempts to receive restitution from the German government for property lost before their emigration to the United States. Also includes term papers written by Straus while enrolled at Georgetown University and several income tax forms.
