    Correspondence, speeches and writings, government documents, printed matter, audiovisual material and memorabilia, relating to an escape route through the Netherlands and France from Nazi-occupied Europe, for political refugees, Jews, and Allied servicemen, which was under the leadership of John Henry (Johan Hendrik) Weidner (1912-1994). The collection consists of microfilm copies of the originals, which are owned by the Hoover Institution Library and Archives, Stanford University.

    Consists of eleven published photographic slides produced by the NSDAP, Dienststelle Rosenberg Amt Lehrmittel, depicting Nazi propaganda of American Jewish life. Includes nine slides of politicians (Jewish and non-Jewish) with Jewish constituents (including Franklin Roosevelt, Fiorello LaGuardia, Frank Knox, Felix Frankfurter, and Herbert Lehman), images of New York City, of unemployed Americans, and of a synagogue in the city. Also includes one slide depicting a snowball fight and one of a German barn.

    Contains a typewritten statement given by former political prisoner Rudolf Hess of Bad Cannstatt (Stuttgart), Germany, to Lt. Frank Caplan (donor’s father) at Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, on May 18, 1945. The report documents former Hess’s arrest by Nazi authorities in 1943 and his imprisonment in the Dachau concentration camp, where he was subjected to medical experimentation.
