  1. Müller family collection

    The collection consists of sheets of stationery from a paper store in Budapest owned by Jozsef Müller until 1944 when it war Aryanized. Small ball of thread taken by Aniko Müller from a textile factory in Zillerthal where she performed forced labor in the threading area. She took the thread with her when the factory was evacuated in advance of advancing Soviet troops. Jozsef Müller, his wife, and their 8 year old daughter were murdered at Auschwitz. Their older daughter Anniko, who was also deported to Auschwitz, survived.

  2. Edith Steinberg collection

    THe collection consists of a letter, two page, from Werner Samuel [and others unidentified] to Edith Steinberg, donor’s aunt. The letter, dated October 18, 1945, explains the fate of Edith’s husband, Siegfried, who was liberated in April 1945, transferred to Sweden to recuperate and died and buried in Sweden on June 6, 1945. Edith and Siegfried Steiberg were deported from Hannover, Germany to Riga, Latvia. From Riga, Edith was deported to Stutthof concentration camp in Poland and was liberated in April, 1945. Wallet, tan, in which letter has been housed [unknown origin].

  3. Fritz Weinschenk collection

    The Fritz Weinschenk collection consists of case files and recordings documenting his assistance obtaining witness testimony related to war crimes proceedings in Germany.

    The collection consists of a prisoner patch, currency, scrip and ration cards, and documents related to the experiences of Beno Helmer in the Łódź ghetto in Poland during the Holocaust.

  12. Goldmann family collection

    Correspondence, documents, and related materials concerning Kurt Goldmann pertaining to his life in Germany from his birth in 1921 through his emigration in 1939, his experiences as a newly arrived immigrant to the U.S. as a student at Penn State University and membership in the Phi Sigma Delta fraternity, his Army service during WWII, and post-war experiences as a naturalized American.     The collection consists of papers, photographs, and printed matter from the military service of Lester M. Libo. Includes items related to his denazification work including his personal notebook, Fragebogen used in denazification and confiscated items including propaganda material, money, medals, and a piece of cloth with a swastika insignia. In addition, several newspapers and an issue of Army Talks (28 October 1945) and posted military government notices.

    THe collection contains documents, correspondence (letters and postcards), journals, photographs, postwar writings, newspaper clippings, 2 metal disc recordings, ephemera and three dimensional artifacts to include a portfolio, eyeglass case and small notebook documenting the experiences of the Schwalbe family and their relatives in Berlin, Teheran, Palestine and their immigration and settlement in the United States.
