Archival History
Registratura PZÚ byla do Státního ústředního archivu (dnes Národního archivu) postupně předávána v roce 1949, spisy disciplinární komise v roce 1953.
Scope and Content
PZÚ především sledoval hospodářskou, finanční a personální agendu okresních úřadů a okresních komisí, zemských institucí a zemských ústavů. V protektorátním období v oddělení 1 v sign. 1/6/24/14 (inv.č. 1034) se nachází přehled protektorátní veřejné správy, nařízení o árijském původu, jazyková nařízení ve vztahu k zaměstnancům ZÚ apod. Dále lze dohledat nařízení o postavení židů ve veřejném životě a materiály k zastavení platů židovským zaměstnancům (sign. 1/6/39, inv.č. 940). V oddělení 13 (vojenské záležitosti) v období 1941–1945 je možno upozornit na sign. 13/26/1 (inv.č. 1104) – policejní a četnická hlášení o zadržení uprchlých zajatců z koncentračních táborů a jiných stíhaných osob. Pod inv.č. 1113 jsou uložené dokumenty k dodatečným zápisům křestních jmen židovských osob do matrik. Spisy správy z příkazu Říše (RAV - Reichsauftragsverwaltung) se vztahují především k německému státnímu občanství, ke změnám jména, k žádostem o udělení výjimky z platnosti tzv. norimberských zákonů apod. Tato část fondu je zachována velmi torzovitě, takže nedokumentuje celkovou strukturu agendy.

Fond je uzavřený, přírůstky se neočekávají.
System of Arrangement
Registratura se nedochovala v naprosté úplnosti. Při pořádání byl zachován původní spisový pořádek, výjimku tvoří zbytky RAV, které byly uspořádány podle věcných skupin. Další výjimkou z pořádání podle původního spisového plánu bylo vytvoření tzv. abecední sbírky osobních spisů. Volba inventární jednotky byla dána především obsahovou závažností spisové skupiny či podskupiny.

Biographical History
The Provincial Office in Prague was a continuation of the Czech Governor's Office. In the years of 1918-1919, it was called the Political Administration of the National Committee. However, the office was headed by a president appointed by the head of state. The Office was subject to the Ministry of the Interior of the Czechoslovak Republic. From 1 December 1928, the Provincial Office in Prague began to operate in place of the Provincial Political Administration in Prague. After March 15, 1939, the entire administration became dependent on the Reich Protector, who was the highest legislator in the Czech lands. In 1945, the Prague Provincial Office was replaced by the Provincial National Committee in Prague.
Archival History
The registry of the Presidium of the Provincial Office was transferred to the State Central Archives in 1949, and the files of the disciplinary commission in 1953. The registry of the PPO has not been preserved completely, apparently, due to "appraisals" from the period of the Nazi occupation or various transfers. The so-called administration from the order of the Reich has been preserved the least. Relatively little has survived from the revision of the municipal management from 1931-1940. In the last file group 1941-1945, there are partial gaps in almost all groups.
Scope and Content
The fonds is mainly of an administrative nature. The Presidium of the Provincial Office (hereinafter PPO) monitored the economic, financial and personnel agenda of district authorities and district commissions, and provincial institutions. The personnel agenda is located in all departments of the PPO registry. The PPO-RAV files (the Reich administration) mainly concern German citizenship, name changes, requests for exemptions from the Nuremberg Laws, etc. The individual files also contain orders on the status of Jews in public life, salary suspension of Jewish employees and additional entries of first names of Jewish persons in the registers.
System of Arrangement
The fonds consists of the registry finding aids (minutes, indices, collections) and file material. The original file order was preserved during the organization, with the exception of the remnants of the administration from the Reich order (RAV), which was organized by subject groups. Another exception to organizing according to the original file plan is the creation of the so-called alphabetical collection of personal files. The same inventory unit was not always selected during the inventory. Sometimes the first subgroup was chosen as the inventory unit, other times the last subgroup, i.e. the file.
