Biographical History

Marie Albert est née à Anderlecht, Bruxelles, en 1916. Elle fut secrétaire de la Société Israélite d’Assistance Antituberculeuse avant guerre, puis garda, sous la surveillance de la police SS, les enfants confiés à l’Association des Juifs en Belgique (AJB). Elle dirigea le home pour enfants d’Ophem à Wezembeek-Ophem. En 1945, elle épousa Alfred dit Freddy Blum, qui fut l’un des dirigeants de l’AJB.
