Scope and Content
Triangular metal birth pendant belonging to the donor's mother Ruth Polilnger (nee Wermuth, 1929-1970), that sailed with her from Frankfurt, Germany to New York in 1940. It is engraved with her date of birth, place of birth (Frankfurt A.M)., and "Mazel Tov". These birth pendants were traditionally given to newborn girls in Frankfurt, Germany between 1928 and 1929.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Triangular metal pendant with a green enamel border and an enameled Star of David engraved above the Hebrew word "Shaddai" below it on the front. On the reverse, "Mazel Tov" in Hebrew is engraved as well as "20.4.1929" and "Franfurt A.M."
