Sue Elder collection
Acquisition
The collection was found by Pamela Ireland in 1973 in a discarded box in the basement of her apartment building in Boston, MA. It was donated by Pamela Ireland to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2021.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of federal documents, ID cards, trial booklets, clippings, stamps, currency, and other ephemera documenting the experiences of Sue Elder, who worked as a translator at the Nuremberg trials from 1946-1948.
