Consists of correspondence, documents, and identity cards related to the experiences of Jakob Glantz, originally of Szaszvar, Hungary. Mr. Glantz moved to Vienna after World War I, married, and opened a photographic studio. He was arrested after Kristallnacht and imprisoned for several months in Dachau. Upon his release, he emigrated, with his wife and daughter, to Shanghai, where he passed away in 1948. The collection includes official documents, school papers, postcards from Dachau, Mr. Glantz's Reisepass, Mr. Glantz's Shanghai Foreigners Resident Certificate, and other personal papers.
