Acquisition

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Patrick Gleason in 2002. An accretion was also added that year.

Scope and Content

Collection of sixteen NSDAP newspapers, fliers, rally programs, forms, a bound volume of Niedersachsische Tages-Zeitung, and a bound volume of Berliner Morgenpost. Some of these materials may be combined into a single collection in the future.

Contains two bound volumes of newspapers, one of the "Niedersächsische Tageszeitung" (Hannover), from 28 September 1935 to 31 September 1935; and the "Berliner Morgenpost," April-June 1934. Also contains varied leaflets, including fliers for plebiscite of 1934; the Anschluss plebiscite of 1938; and 1926 "Voelkisch" newspaper special printing of "Der Jungdeutsche," plus application to join Nazi party.
