Biographical History
Georg Keleti was in hiding during the Holocaust. He moved to Germany in the 1960s and immigrated to the United States in 1970. He later worked as an associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Environmental and Clinical Microbiology.

Georg Keleti donated the manuscript of his memoir to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in Mar. 1995, maintaining the copyright.
Scope and Content
Contains a memoir entitled "Contribution to the History of Slovakia (The So-called 'Jewish Question' - Partial Autobiography)" relating to the experiences in Slovakia from 1925 to 1947. In the memoir Georg Keleti discusses childhood in Slovakia, local antisemitiesm, the history of the Hlinka Guard, and the Free Slovak Republic. The memoir was written in or after 1991and ends with a note about the author's 1991 visit in Slovakia.
