Judenstern badge issued to a member of Sig Feiger's family in Vienna, Austria, in 1939. Jews were required to wear the badges displayed on their clothing at all times, to mark them as undesirable members of society. The Feiger family, Isadore and Frida, and their three sons, sixteen year old Sig, and his younger brothers, Alfred, and Harry, were an observant Jewish family living in Vienna when it was absorbed into Nazi Germany in March 1938.
