Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Rumkowski's announcement with instructions to newly arrived deportees to the ghetto, transport directors, heads of groups and physicians, 07 November 1941 The deportees must adjust themselves to ghetto life and follow orders; they must stand in line; the transport directors and heads of the groups must distribute cots and food parcels; they are responsible for maintaining order and quiet in the various camps; the physicians are responsible for sanitary conditions. Rumkowski announces that there will soon be an inspection of the camps which will include making sure the instructions are being carried out.
