Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 179, dated 17 December 1940, ordering the sale of all fur coats, fur collars and fur linings in a bank in the ghetto By order of the authorities, all fur coats, fur collars and fur linings must be sold in the ghetto bank between 22 December 1940 and 1 January 1941; after those dates, all furs will be confiscated.
