Biographical History
Židovské osídlení je v Ivančicích spolehlivě doloženo od 16. století, obec existovala do 2. světové války. V letech 1938 – 1939 byl v Ivančicích tranzitní tábor pro židovské uprchlíky z oblastí obsazených nacistickým Německem, který v letech 1939 – 1942 sloužil jako internační tábor pro židovské obyvatelstvo.
Acquisition
Archiválie se dostaly do židovského muzea v Praze za druhé světové války v rámci svozů historicky cenných předmětů a písemností zrušených židovských náboženských obcí Čech a Moravy.
Scope and Content
Fond tvoří pinkas (1715–1788), stanovy ŽNO (1872–1936), podací protokoly, zápisy ze schůzí, volební spisy, personální spisy, matriční záležitosti, kniha narozených (1799–1844), knihy obřízek (1837–1890), seznamy osob v uprchlickém táboře v Ivančicích (1938–1941), korespondence, stavební záležitosti (včetně stavby synagogy), finanční a daňová agenda, knihy synagogálních sedadel, knihy hazkarot, písemnosti židovské školy, pohřebního bratrstva a zlomky spisů dalších židovských spolků a institucí. Pokladní kniha Bikur cholim končí rokem 1940, hřbitovní kniha je dovedena do roku 1942.

Biographical History
Jewish settlement in Ivančice is reliably documented from the 16th century. A Jewish community existed there until the Second World War. In 1938–1939 there was a transit camp for Jewish refugees from Nazi-occupied areas in Ivančice. In 1939–1942 it served as an internment camp for Jews.
Acquisition
The documents were taken to the Jewish Museum as part of the wartime shipment of artefacts and documents from Jewish Religious Communities liquidated during the WWII.
Scope and Content
This fonds consists of pinkas (1715–1788), the community's statutes (1872–1936), protocol registers, meeting minutes, election records, personnel records, registry matters, a birth register (1799–1844), circumcision registers (1837–1890), lists of persons in the Ivančice refugee camp (1938–1941), correspondence, construction records (including for the construction of a synagogue), financial and tax files, synagogue seats records, books of hazkarot, documents relating to the local Jewish school and burial society, and fragmentary documents relating to other Jewish associations and institutions. The cash book of the local Bikur Cholim society was maintained until 1940, the cemetery register until 1942.
