Biographical History
Internační tábor vznikl ve Svatobořicích v září 1942 po zatýkací akci „E“, kdy byly zatčeny osoby, jejichž příbuzní se nacházeli v zahraničí. K internaci těchto osob se nabízel barákový tábor ve Svatobořicích, který byl využíván již v období první světové války pro utečence z rakouského záboru Itálie a z Haliče. Tábor měl dvě pobočky, v Lutíně a v Bojkovicích. Byli v něm vězněni i Židé, postupně převážení do jiných koncentračních táborů. V dubnu 1945 došlo k přesunu internovaných před blížící se frontou, čímž přestal tábor de facto existovat.
Archival History
Některé účetní výkazy se nedochovaly, v červenci 1945 byl seznam internovaných a 5 vkladních knížek předány Ministerstvu vnitra. Zbývající větší část písemností se s likvidací tábora dostala k Okresnímu národnímu výboru v Kyjově. V roce 1960 je převzal Okresní archiv v Hodoníně, odkud byly v roce 1964 předány do archivního oddělení Krajské správy Ministerstva vnitra v Brně.
Acquisition
Po zrušení archivního oddělení Krajské správy Ministerstva vnitra převzal fond Státní archiv v Brně (dnes Moravský zemský archiv v Brně).
Scope and Content
Fond obsahuje dokumenty o životě v táboře, mj. seznamy internovaných, záznamy o jejich pracovním nasazení, různou korespondenci. V táboře byli dočasně vězněni i Židé, o nichž mohou být údaje především v těchto částech fondu: Kartotéka internovaných (inv. č. 11, kartony 2-5); Kartotéka nemocných internovaných (inv. č. 12, karton 6) a Kniha nemocných (inv. č. 13, karton 6).

Fond je uzavřený, přírůstky se neočekávají.
System of Arrangement
Písemnosti internačního tábora ve Svatobořicích byly uspořádány podle věcného hlediska v archivním oddělení Krajské správy Ministerstva vnitra v Brně po jejich převzetí v roce 1964.

Acquisition
Some of the accounting returns were destroyed, in July 1945 the list of internees and 5 deposit books were transferred to the Ministry of the Interior. The remaining larger part of the documents was passed on to the District National Committee in Kyjov. In 1960 they were taken over by District Archives in Hodonín, from where in 1964 the archive department of the Regional Administration of the Ministry of the Interior in Brno, where the fonds was arranged and inventoried. The fonds is kept in the Moravian Provincial Archives in Brno.
Scope and Content
The fonds contains sources about life in the internment camp, lists of internees, their wages, work deployment, correspondence. There were also Jews in the camp temporarily, about whom there may be records primarily in these documents Card Index of Internees (4 boxes) 1942–1944; Card Index of Sick Internees 1944 and Book of Sick Persons 1944, and possibly in other items.
