January 25, 1941 wedding of Günther Weisenborn and Margarethe (Joy) Schnable in Berlin. Günther and Joy belonged to the important German resistance group labeled "Rote Kapelle" [Red Orchestra] by the Gestapo. Both were later arrested and survived only with great fortune. Consists of two Canadian passports issued in 1947 for Dorothy (nee Segal, 1919-2012) and Siegmund (1919-2005) Schnitman who met in Canada in the 1940s while living in Toronto after escaping Poland and Germany, respectively, in the 1930s. Both passports indicated the dates of their Canadian citizenship, granted in 1946, and their immigration to the U.S. via Buffalo, NY in February 1948 before they settled in New York City.

The collection consists of a memoir documenting the Holocaust experiences of Gitta Simon (née Kohn), originally of Moson, Hungary, including her deportation to Auschwitz in June 1944, transfer to Altenburg subcamp of Buchenwald. While on a death march, Simon was liberated by the United States Army. The memoir is in Hungarian and was written post-war while she and her husband, Laszlo Simon, were living in Shanghai (1947-1949).
