    The Leadership of the Reichsgau Branch of NSDAP in Liberec was the supreme political body in the Reichsgau (Region) of the Sudetenland. This is why its preserved documents are of exceptional importance for learning about persecution of the Jewish population within the territory of the Sudetenland in 1938–1945.     The Ministry of Economy and Labour (Ministerstvo hospodářství a práce) was a result of the Heydrich´s reform of the Protectorate administration in 1942. In this period falls the total change of the Protectorate into a war economy. As the Aryazation of Jewish property was untill 1942 almost finished and the deportation of Bohemian and Moravian Jews to Ghetto Theresienstadt (Terezín) and other Ghettos and camps in the east started in 1941 most Holocaust relevant material in this collection is connected to the status of "mixed" Jews or Jews who were married to a non Jewish partner.

    The Ministry of Public Works played a minor role in the persecution of the Jews in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Although it was responsible for the development of infrastructure also in the years of the German occupation during taht Jews were used for Forced labour in this field, it seems that no documents in the collection are referring to that.
