  1. David Friedman collection

    The collection consists of one etching, eleven drawings and six paintings created by David Friedmann (from 1960, Friedman) after the war based upon his experiences during the Holocaust in the Łódź (Litzmannstadt) Ghetto in Poland from October 1941 - August 1944 and as a prisoner in Auschwitz-Birkenau, Gleiwitz I, and Blechhammer concentration camps from August 1944 until his liberation soon after a death march on January 25, 1945.

  2. German Jews prior to deportation to Riga

    Assembly and arrival of Jews at collection center located on the Killesberg (mountain), outside city limits of Stuttgart. Scenes are prior to their deportation to Riga, Latvia, in November 1941. Film was commissioned by the Stuttgart city propaganda office.

    This collection contains the papers and photographs of Seligmann and Alice Kahn, a Jewish family from Heilbronn.

  14. OPUS - Central Underground Care (1943-1944)

    The records of OPUS Central Underground Care include the reports from the Lublin district of the Home Army concerning the activity of the occupational authorities, such as reports from arrests of the Home Army soldiers and the financial situations of their families. This fund also includes the reports drawn up on the basis of the information about the situation in the camp provided by the Home Army soldiers imprisoned at Majdanek, and lists of prisoners’ names. The OPUS documents arrived at the Archives of the State Museum at Majdanek in 1971.

    The camera was purchased with money awarded as war reparations.

  16. Leslie and Eva Aigner collection

    Consists of an oral history interview conducted by the University of Oregon with Leslie (Les) and Eva Aigner. The Aigners both grew up in Budapest, Hungary; Eva spent the last year of the war in the ghetto in Budapest, while Les was deported to Auschwitz, transferred to Landsberg-Kaufering, and ultimately liberated from Dachau. They met and married after the war. Also includes photocopies of documentation from the Auschwitz and Dachau memorials related to Les Aigner and a copy of a postcard he sent from Auschwitz.

    Certificate of confirmation of money transfer to the "Ha'avara" company, owned jointly by the Anglo-Palestine Bank and the Jewish Agency. Printed certificate with typed details and the signature of a representative of the Anglo-Palestine Bank

  18. Fragebogen

    Fragebogen (questionnaire); completed by Jakub Wajnsztok, in Warsaw, Poland, dated 1941. The questionnaire, dated June 9, states that Jakub is a dental technician, born February 18, 1888 in Warsaw. Questionnaire bears photographs and stamped at top center “[Star of David] JUDE [Star of David]." German and Polish printed form and Polish inscriptions.

  20. Mihaly Klein letters

    Contains two letters written in 1946 and 1947 by Mihaly Klein, the only member of the Klein family of Kaszony, Hungary (Kosyno, in present-day Ukraine), who survived the deportation in 1944. The addressee of the letters was Mihaly's cousin, Ilon Klein, sister of Herman Klein.
