Biographical History

Menachem Bader (Hebrew: מנחם בדר‎, born 20 September 1895 in Dukla, Poland, died 31 January 1985) was a Labor Zionist activist during the Mandate era, and later a politician who served as a member of the Knesset.

Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Hashomer Hatzair Archives, Yad Yaari, Israel, Record Group 95-23. The reproduction was completed as a joint project with Yad Vashem. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received this collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in July 2014.

Scope and Content

Personal archives of Menachem Bader (1895-1985) contains documents with his biographical information, memoirs, records on the mission in Turkey and activities of the Rescue Commettee in Istanbul, articles, speeches, poems in Hebrew, Yiddish and Polish.
