The field is red and also in red is the serial number across the bottom "A30743623A." "2" is printed in black in each corner with "ISSUED IN /Italy/ 2 / LIRA" in the center. The verso is printed in light blue ink, clockwise it is printed "FREEDOM OF SPEECH", "FREEDOM OF RELIGION", "fREEDOM FROM FEAR", "FREEDOM FROM WANT", with 'ALLIED/MILITARY/CURRENCY" in the center.
