Acquisition

Jessica, Wendy, and Jonathan Landman, the children of Otto and Ruth Landman and grandchildren of Martha Landman, donated this collection to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Nov. 22, 2003.

Scope and Content

Consists of correspondence and documents from and regarding the family of Martha Landman; includes information about wartime auctions held in New York City of Jewish possessions, as well as correspondence with and regarding family members who perished during the Holocaust. Also includes extensive documentation about failed attempts to aid Thekla Landmann to emigrate to Cuba.
