Scope and Content
Contains an autograph book kept by the donor during her recuperation in Forsbacka, Sweden after her release from the Ravensbrück concentration camp in April 1945; photographs depicting Sonia Wajngarten in the boarding school in Forsbacka, Sweden, dated 1945-1946. Also includes letters, photographs, and a postcard related to the experieces of Kurt Tschmul [later Chaim Shoked] (donor's late husband) who together with his younger brother Siegfried Sigi, left Vienna on the Kindertransport; their parents, Anna and Binem Tschmul, managed to leave Vienna in April 1939 for Shanghai, and the family was reunited in Israel in 1949.
