The bible was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1990 by Magda Trocmé, the widow of André Trocmé.

Scope and Content

Old and new testaments translated by Louis Segond into French from the original Hebrew and Greek texts. The bible was used by Pastor André Trocmé during sermons urging Le Chambon-sur-Lignon citizens to save Jewish people. It was given to him by his mother, Pauline Schwertman. The bible contains Pastor Trocme's original notations and marks for his sermons and personal use.
