Biographical History

Tadeusz Marchaj was from Kielce, Poland. He served in the Polish Home Army, was captured with his unit soon after the Warsaw Polish Uprising of August 1944, and was imprisoned in the Sophienwalde concentration camp, a subcamp of Stutthof.

Tadeusz Marchaj donated these photographs to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2005.

Scope and Content

Consists of two photographs of Tadeusz Marchaj. One was probably taken in early 1944 while he was a member of the Polish Home Army. The second was taken during his imprisonment in the Sophienwalde concentration camp, a subcamp of Stutthof.
