United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of Henry Zeidler

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2000 by Dr. Henry J. Zeidler.

Scope and Content

Consists of six documents relating to the Zeidler family: two "Polizeiliches Fuehrungszeugnis" (Police good conduct certificates) issued in Strausberg, Germany, on 10 August 1941, to Martin "Israel" Zeidler and his wife Natalie "Sara" Zeidler (donor's parents) for the purpose of emigration to Cuba;; and documents, 1933, written to Dr. Heinz Zeidler (donor), in Berlin, Germany, by the Prussian Justice Minister and Chamber Court President addressing the issue of the donor being "retired" from the practice of law as well as a request to complete a form attesting to the fact that he had no relatives of Jewish descent.
