Scope and Content
Collections consists of documents and correspondence belonging to Herbert E. Kronfeld, the donor's father, documenting his efforts to assist relatives, including Grete Katz, Fritz Bettelheim, and Adele Mendelsohn, in fleeing Germany and Austria. Includes affidavits of support, correspondence with the State Department's Visa Division, telegrams, and letters to and from United States Senators, including Robert Wagner, regarding individual cases.
