Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Kielcach, Poland, Sygn.2119. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in Jan. 2020. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.

Scope and Content

Records related to Holocaust survivors in the Busko County; Jewish cemeteries, and war crimes committed by Germans. Includes statistics of population of Busko county, lists of people murdered by the Germans, missing, deported to German labor camps, transported to concentration camps, lists of places where the murders were carried out and where the murdered are buried, and written statements of witnesses about crimes committed by Germans.

Arranged in three groups: 1. Correspondence and statistics relating to population of Busko County; 2. Jewish cemeteries matters, 1947-1948; 3. War crimes evidence.
