Scope and Content
Nathan Szpiro (1908-1983), Polish-born Yiddish actor and singer, joined the Polish Armed Forces in the East after the outbreak of World War II. Postwar, he entertained in DP camps before emigrating to Israel; he later settled in Canada. The song "Vu ahin zol ikh geyn?" (Side B, Track 2) is often referred to as the "DP Anthem."
