Biographical History
Peter Rohland (1933-1966) was a German singer, songwriter, and folk song researcher. Influenced by a tape with Yiddish songs of Theodore Bikel, Rohland developed a Yiddish song program, Rebbe, which premiered in 1963 in Berlin.
