Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Riksarkivet, Sweden (Swedish National Archives.) The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in April 2019. This is a cooperative project between the Council for Swedish Jewish Communities, USHMM, Yad Vashem and Swedish National Archives.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of about 125,000 registration cards from various collections of the Swedish Jewish Community, including: registers of individuals who were rescued in 1945; registers of payments, loans, financial assistance, and scholarships; registers of refugees in Sweden; card registers of refugee children; registers of deported Jews; registers of emigrants; and registers of records for restitution.
