THe cabinet was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by the Jewish Community of Cluj in 2018.
Scope and Content
Wooden cabinet from the Chancellery of the former local Jewish High School in Cluj. The school was established in 1940 after Jewish students were no longer allowed to attend Christian schools. The school was closed by German authorities in March 1944. The school had about 1300 students during its existence; fewer than 400 survived.
