Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Akt Nowych, Poland, Sygn. 1334. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in April 2018. Note: This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.
Scope and Content
Records of the camps of Polish prisoners of war (Oflags and Stalags) and internment camps in Switzerland. Include correspondence, periodical reports, courses, publications, reports for the Red Cross, camp chronicles and other information.
System of Arrangement
Selected records arranged in four series: 1. Prisoners of war camps for officers-Oflag, 1939-1947; 2. Prisoners of war camps-Stalag; 3. Internment camps in Switzerland; 4. Concentration camps, military, and collective camps, 1939-1945.
