The typewriter was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2017 by Alfred Munzer, the son of Simcha (Siegfried) Munzer.

Scope and Content

Continental brand typewriter which attaches to a case, the lid of which is now detached. The typewriter was used by Simcha Munzer (donor's father) before and during the war, and then afterwards by Gisele and Alfred Munzer (donor's mother and donor). An instruction booklet in German is also included.

Continental brand black typewriter (a) inside black case, with lid (b) that is now detached. The base of the typewriter attaches to the case. An instruction booklet (c) for the typewriter was originally housed inside the lid, held in place by two metal brackets.
